Aluminum Plate Supplier

Aluminum Plate

Aluminum is a popular material choice in many industries for several reasons - it's high strength yet lightweight, has excellent malleability, is easy to machine, has good conductivity (both thermal and electrical) and has excellent corrosion resistance. In addition, Aluminum is non-magnetic and is non-toxic. It's also very easy to recycle.

Aluminum products can be found in most industries. Aluminum Plate is created by passing aluminum between rolls under pressure, it becomes thinner-and longer in the direction in which it is moving. Aluminum can be flat-rolled and re-rolled until it reaches the desired thickness or gauge.

ICI METALS CARRIES AN EXTENSIVE LINE OF ALUMINUM PLATE INCLUDING:

  • Grades include 6061-T651, 7075-T651, and Cast Aluminum Tool & Jig Plate. Other grades may be available for mill orders
  • Thicknesses range from ¼" - 8"
  • Dimensions available are 60.5"-144.5"

6061-T651 ALUMINUM ALLOY

6061 is a precipitation hardening aluminum alloy, containing magnesium and silicon as its major alloying elements. It has good mechanical properties and exhibits good weldability and good corrosion resistance. It is one of the most common alloys of aluminum for general purpose use. T651 is solutionized, stress-relieved stretched and artificially aged.

7075-T651 ALUMINUM ALLOY

7075 is an aluminum alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It is strong, with a strength comparable to many steels, and has good fatigue strength and average machinability, but has less resistance to corrosion than many other Al alloys.
